As you can see on curve of this deck there are a lot of late game cards (ten 7+magicka cost cards). It is a the mark of all control decks. This deck costs 7700 crystals without cards from “The Fall of the Brotherhood” story. The concept of this deck is doing everything to slow opponents play in early and mid game and destroy him in strong late game. You will play creatures with Guard like Hive Defender and Prophecy like Brotherhood Slayer or creatures with two this keywords Knight of the Hour, that give you an extra heal. There are 14 Prophecy cards and 16 cards with Guard in this deck. Also you will destroy opponent’s creatures by Actions (Crushing Blow) and AOE (Dawn`s Wrath). You can combine Cloudrest Illusionist + Execute or Murkwater Witch + Leaflurker to destroy enemy creatures.

There are also a lot of creatures with keyword Lethal there like Sanctuary Pet. All of Lethal creatures will give you a Completed Contract if you combine them with Astrid. Also you can get a Completed Contract from Brotherhood Slayer. The contracts will give you an extra magicka for one turn so you can play your late game creatures much earlier.

This Control Monk deck is good against other control decks because of chance to play late game cards like Odahviing or Mantikora much earlier when you realize your Completed Contract. Also you can steal opponents keywords by Ahnassi and Penitus Oculatus Agent. Also you can steal opponent’s creature after playing your Miraak, Dragonborn.

This deck is also can be good against aggressive decks because of a lot of creatures with Guard and Prophecy, point removals, AOE and some heal.

This Control Monk can be good enough against midrange decks. You can even play more tempo game than a lot of midrange decks. Your opponent should trade all of your strong creatures like The Black Dragon. Sometimes this trades will not be good for him because he should play two his cards to destroy one yours.

So this deck is slow and expensive but it is very interesting to play it and it has a good win rate.
